Submitting your blog sitemap to Google Webmaster should be the first and important step that you should do once you start your own blog. What does sitemap do? Sitemap is a tool that help the web crawlers to index your blog pages quickly in search engines without any crawl errors. As I already mentioned, sitemap submission is considered as important thing in SEO (search engine optimization). So today, we will learn "how to submit sitemap to Google Webmaster".

How To Submit Sitemap To Google Webmaster

First of all, we will teach you how to submit sitemap of Blogger blog to Google Webmaster. To submit your Blogger blog to Google Webmaster, follow below steps:

1. Go to Google Webmaster and sign in with your Google account.

2. On Webmaster homepage, beside your site, you can see "Manage" option. Click on that.

3. On left side, you can see set of options. Among them, select "Crawl" option and click on "Sitemaps".

4. . Now on right side, you can see "Add/Test Sitemap button". Click on that and add following link just after your blog address.

How to submit sitemap of Wordpress blog to Google Webmaster

Note: Before submitting your wordpress sitemap to Google Webmaster, make sure that you have installed Wordpress sitemap plugin. If you don't know how to install it, then follow below steps to install Wordpress sitemap plugin.

1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.

2. Under plugins, type into the search bar google sitemap plugin.

3. Install the plugin and activate it.

After you have installed sitemap plugin, next, you need to submit the sitemap to Google Webmaster. So, follow below steps to submit the sitemap of your Wordpress blog to Google Webmaster.

1. Go to Google Webmaster and sign in with your Google account.

2. On Webmaster homepage, you can see "Add A Site" option. Click on that and add your Wordpress blog by providing appropriate information.

3. Next, on left side, you can see set of options. Among them, select "Crawl" option and now click on sitemaps.

4. Now on right side, you can see "Add/Test Sitemap button". Click on that and add following link just after your blog address.
