Over the course of the last year or so, bigbiff has worked to migrate various Java functions from Android’s MTP implementation to bring you a fully C++ based MTP implementation that allows you to transfer files to both emulated storage and Micro SD cards. It’s confirmed to work on various Nexus devices but we may have to make some changes on other devices to keep Windows happy. Windows is very picky about USB IDs and its drivers. We have tested it on Windows 7 and 8 as well as Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty. MTP is enabled by default, but we do toggle it off and on automatically during certain operations such as if you choose to wipe a storage partition. You can enable or disable MTP under the mount menu in TWRP. For more about what MTP is here.

Note: Due to a weird bug with our MTP setup, you cannot copy a zip file to the root of storage with Windows. You can change the .zip to something else like .txt and then copy it to the root and rename the file back to .zip once it’s copied to the device. You can also copy the zip into any subfolder.

Command line support is also now available. You can perform various OpenRecoveryScript commands via the adb shell. Depending on what you are doing you may wish to do a “twrp set tw_mtp_enabled 0″ and then reboot to prevent the MTP auto toggle from killing your adb interface. You can use this option to create and restore backups, wipe, install zips, and more. Via adb shell, type twrp followed by a space then enter the OpenRecoveryScript command and hit enter. INSTRUCTION:
In case if you are using custom recovery
-Download TWRP-2.8.zip from the attachment
-Place it in root of Sdcard
-Flash it via any Custom Recovery
-REBOOT

In case if you are using stock recovery
-Make sure that your Device is Rooted
-Download and Install Rashr from Play Store
-Download and Copy the above file to SD card of your device
-Open app and Select Recovery from Storage
-Press Yes on asking if you’re sure
-After Flashing is complete Reboot to Recovery

How to install CWM Recovery on XOLO Q700S

• Download the cwm recovery n then move it to the sd root

• Choose the recovery update

How to install CWM/TWRP recovery on Xolo Q900

Instructions :

2. Copy it to root of your SD card ( i.e dont copy to any folder in SD Card )

How to install CWM recovery on XOLO Q600

 Getting Your Device ready for Any sort of flashing:

These instructions should be followed for any sort of flashing on any device and not just this package. These are basic guidelines for future. Keep them in mind.

1. Make sure all the proper ADB drivers are installed and working
2. The USB Debugging is on in 'Developer Section'
3. The device is at least 50-60% charged
4. If possible, make a nandroid backup in case there is any problem
5. Always remember, you brick your device. The developer, tester, uploader has no role in it.


(Yes, I know, nandroid backup isn't possible without custom recovery but these instructions are for any general flashing. I'll be working on getting a clean stock ROM for backup purposes and that should serve only as a backup option - There is no clear date as to when I will release it.)


Instructions for Installing:

a. Firstly, install the vcom drivers and have your device ready for the flashing process with the USB wire. (See the 'Getting your device ready for flashing section').
b. Do not connect the USB until instructed.
c. Ignore any warning that comes up during the process but do take note what it says - the information may be needed later for debugging the process if the result is unexpected.


1. Open SP flash tool.exe
2. Load Scatter file provided in 'recovery' folder
3. The recovery.img will automatically be loaded for you
4. Press 'F9' to start the process
5. Remove the battery for 2-3 seconds and replace it but do not turn on the device
6. Plug in the USB cable
7. At this point, the progress bar in the SP flash tool will go red
8. Click 'Continue', 'Okay', 'Ignore' or whatever to continue with the process
9. After flashing, the phone will reboot into some Chinese recovery (Happened with me). Use the vol- key to go the english option in the menu and press 'home' button to select it
10. The phone will again boot into some old recovery, use the same keys for navigation and reboot the phone
11. The phone should boot up normally
12. Congratulations, you now have CWM on your Xolo Q600 :)

How to Install CWM Recovery On XOLO Q700i

Install CWM using Mobile Uncle Tools (No PC Required)

1. Download and install Mobileuncle Tools from playstore
2. Download CWM Recovery from Here
3. Extract it using simple es file explorer or simple unrar and keep recovery.img in root of sd card
4. Open mobileuncle tools and select Recovery uodate
5. A scrren will appear showing recovery.img then select ok for use this recovery
6. Now CWM recovery will be installed and ask for boot into recovery mode
7. Select yes for it and your phone will boot to CWM Recovery

How to install CWM TWRP Recovery on XOLO Q800 X

First Things to Know,
1) Xolo Q800 X can be un-bricked with tool named SP FLASH TOOL
so don't worry if you are facing a boot-loop (Your phone is freezing on Xolo Logo)

2) There is no other method than installing CWM (or TWRP) Recovery to Root your phone (to give phone Superuser Access)

3) There are Three Other Same Phone Models in other Countries Known as Gionee Dream D1, AllView p5 Quad and Fly IQ446 (their ROM's could work on this phone as their Hardwares are same.

Install CWM Recovery (or TWRP Recovery)

(do at your own risk, I am not responsible if your device bricked or exploded or get any kind of damage :P)

(note: Procedure to install CWM Recovery and TWRP recovery are almost same, it's upto you which one you wants)

3) Switch off you Xolo q800 and just plug usb data cable into it, don't switch on device

4) Go to Device Manager and you will see Gxxx (New device)

5) Right Click it (click on update driver and locate Vcom folder you extracted early)
(note: if you are using Windows 8 then you must turn of Digital Driver Signing enforcement to install this drivers successfully) 

6) After Successfully Installed Driver Start SP Flash tool from Extracted Folder

7) Click on File and select open scatter Loading file

8) Select Scatter loading file from extracted CWM recovery Folder click Open

9) CWM Recovery should automatic Loaded, if not make sure you have selected proper CWM Recovery.img

10) Select Window in Menu then click on Write Memory

11) go to Write Memory, click on Open RAW image, select proper CWM recovery.img, Click on EMMC, set the values as shown in the Image below 

12) Remove your phone if connected to USB, Switch it off, we need it switched off only dont connect USB yet,
Click on Write Memory button as shown in below image, after clicking that button then Connect your phone to USB cable (in switched off mode) if you have installed drivers properly it will start the process

13) When you connect your phone, PreLoader will detect your phone and Will start loading, (you will see the RED bar loading)

14) After PreLoader Finishes, Recovery.img will be pushed to your phone, (you will see green bar loading)

15)After Completion you will see a Green OK box, simply close it and done

Congratulations You have successfully installed CWM Recovery,

too boot into Recovery, 

Press and Hold Volume+ key and Power On key for 5-10 Seconds and Done!

(some phones will not boot with this Combination, try second one)

Press and Hold Volume+ key and Power On key for 2 Sec, then Release Volume + key for 1 Sec, then Release Power On key for 1 Sec, then again press and Hold Volume + key and Power On Key

or Reboot in Recovery by installing ROM manager on your Device.. :)

Those Who want to install TWRP Recovery should follow same steps with TWRP recovery.img

• Place the recovery img in the sd-card.
• Open the app and click on ” Install recovery”.Select the recovery img that has been placed on the sd-card.
• It will install the recovery.Thats it 

How to install CWM recovery on XOLO Q1000

• Download Recovery Image and put it in to sd card. 
•  Download Mobile uncle from play store. 
•  Open Mobile uncle and Grand root access to it. 
•  There is an option to update recovery. Select it.
•  It will search the recovery image that is in sd card. Also if you are online then it will show more recovery from internet. I never tried that but they should also work but probably in Chinese language.
• Select recovery it will ask for permission. Hit ok.
•  It will reboot your phone. Now CWM has been flushed.
•  Now you can do any CWM operations including flushing Touch wiz launcher and xperia keyboard as I already did.

How to Install CWM recovery On XOLO Play

Download CWM RECOVERY

Things required
1.PC with usb drivers and Android SDK tool installed
2.Rooted phone

Procedure:
1.Enable USB debugging in phone.
2.Assure if drivers are installed properly . If not then use Pdanet to install xolo play drivers or try this.
GET recovery.img FROM THE ATTACHMENTS
3.Then open cmd as administrator

4..Put the downloaded recovery.img in C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools.
5.Attach Phone through USB cable.
