How to install CWM/TWRP recovery on Xolo Q900

Instructions :

1. Download the Recovery image
2. Copy it to root of your SD card ( i.e dont copy to any folder in SD Card )
3. Install Mobile Uncle Tools : http://sh.st/flutg
4. Open Mobile Uncle Tools -> Select Recovery Update -> Choose the recovery.img -> Select Yes -> Reboot to recovery
5. Enjoy!!!

How to root XOLO Q900

How to Root Xolo Q900

Xolo Q900 can be easily rooted with same tools by which Xolo a600 can be rooted,

First of all Download all required tools and driver :-

Download Root Tool
Install drivers (play plug device with USB storage on and a drive containing Drivers will appears)

After it, start root process for your Xolo Q900

Connect your device before it enable USB debugging.
Open Rooting tool select simple option by entering 1 and press enter
Let the proccess be done, after a while you will be asked to allow recovery option on your.
Allow it and wait until it’s get completed.
If it is successful completed then you can see it on Root tool windows
After it install SuperSU app from play store (if it’s not been installed)

EASY METHOD

Follow the steps below on how to root the Xolo Q900

Download the Framaroot apk and place it on your desktop.
Connect the Xolo Q900 to your PC.
Copy the Framaroot apk ( which you have downloaded from Step 1 above ) over to your device’s SD card.
Go to your device’s security settings and make sure you have checked the Unknown Sources option.
On your device, open the file explorer app ( either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install theFramaroot apk.
Launch the Framaroot app from your app drawer.
Select Install Superuser from the Select an action to execute after root section.
Next up, select wither Boromir or Faramir exploits in the next section.
If everything went smoothly, you should be able to see a pop-up similar to the one above.
Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Xolo Q900 .
You can download the Root Checker app to confirm if you have already gained root-access on the device.
