After the successful sale of Sony Xperia Z, the company manufactured a series of Smartphones including the Sony Xperia ZR and now the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Smartphones had started its long journey from a 3-inch display and now it had reached 6.4-inch. As the device sports a 6.4 inch full HD display it appears to break the record of Samsung's Galaxy Mega 6.3. Consumer's thirst for giant screen size, made many manufacturers go for releasing larger display handsets. A Smartphone coming with a screen-size over 5-inch is generally being called a 'Phablet', since it do delivers both the use of a Smartphones as well as tablets.
Design
In terms of design, Xperia Z Ultra is a big brother to that of Sony's former flagship, Xperia Z. Apart from some differences including the screen-size, Xperia Z Ultra is just another Xperia Z that delivers under water experience. Being a 6.4-inch device, Xperia Z Ultra already had made many competitors out in the real world. Apart from its huge full HD display, Sony even claims the device to the world's slimmest Smartphone as it features a thickness of just 6.5mm. This delivers the device much more comfortability in carrying around. Moreover the design even gives a more stylish look to the device.
Yet another noticeable feature of Xperia Z Ultra is the support of stylus within the device just like that of Galaxy Note series. The only difference here is that, the display supports a variety of stylus, any real pen or even a pencil. The device even delivers an excellent handwriting recognition feature. Xperia Z Ultra is also water/dust resistant like its predecessor, the Xperia Z.
Display
As mentioned above, Sony Xperia Z Ultra features a gorgeous 6.4 inch full HD display delivering wonderful screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with 344 ppi of pixel density.
One among the most impressive feature to notice is that the device had delivered a new technology known as 'Triluminos display' that makes the device capable to deliver a wide range of colors. Even though Sony had never delivered Gorilla Glass for its products like what Samsung do, Xperia Z Ultra comes with a Shatter proof as well as a scratch-resistant glass. Being a 6.4 inch Smartphone, Xperia Z Ultra is just half an inch away from being called as a 'Tablet'.

Camera
When Xperia Z came with an excellent camera featuring 13 MP primary camera, Sony had cut down Xperia Z Ultra's camera resolution along with some other features. Xperia Z Ultra sports an 8MP rear camera along with a front-facing 2MP camera.
The video recording feature of both the camera is just perfect with 1080p @30 fps. Even though the rear camera of the device features many advanced features including autofocus, touch focus, HDR, face detection, sweep panorama mode etc, it lacks LED flash. Yes, I am right, there is no LED flash on Xperia Z Ultra. This is a tremendous lack when compared to a lower resolution camera. I am pretty confused why the company cut down the flash. Although LED flash is not much necessary during every photography, there are many consumers who always depend on it.
