HTC One SV Review: Full Phone Specifications and Features

HTC has recently launched their new high-end device, that is capable for supporting LTE networks. HTC One SV is a high-end smartphone from HTC that comes under an affordable price list. As this device included in HTC One family, the specs of HTC One SV features a mixture of HTC One V and HTC One S. The device also delivers some of the latest generation taste and the 4.3" Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display is one among that great key features. Let us take a deep look into the complete specifications and features of HTC One SV.

Hardware and Design of HTC One SV

Like its predecessors, HTC One SV is also a good looking smartphone with its beautiful curvy edges. But unlike many HTC devices that are being launched very recently, HTC One SV features a removable back panel. HTC had added an impressive design to the dimension of HTC One SV, so that it can be easily managed and could easily fit into the pocket. HTC One SV features dimensions of 128 x 66.9 x 9.2 mm and weighs around 122gms only. 

The front of the device spots a fabulous 4.3" scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 2 Display that features super LCD2 panel which delivers very good viewing angles. 

On top section of HTC One SV, there is a power lock/unlock key along with perfectly aligned 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is also a volume rockers on the right side of the device and a micro USB port over the bottom edge. Over the back side, the device holds an impressive 5MP camera with LED flash. The removable back panel along with the removable battery helps the consumer to switch batteries.

Processor and Connectivity

HTC One SV is being powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor clocking at a speed of 1.5 GHz. The device also packs with 1GB of RAM and 8GB on-board storage. In the field of connectivity, HTC One SV features similar configuration to that of its high-end smartphones do. The device offers LTE network that features a quad band GSM/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSPA. It also comes with other connectivity options like standard Wi-Fi, NFC connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS and other common sensors. 

Software and User Interface

HTC One SV is being preloaded with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwitch. But the lack of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is a remarkable loss, since every recent smartphones are being launched with Jelly Bean pre-installed. The HTC Sense 4.1 UI that is running on this device is an outstanding feature and helps the device to perform smoothly. 

The Sense UI also allows the user to customize their smartphone according to their needs. There is also option for adding additional scenes, wallpapers etc by tapping on the 'Get More' icon.  One among the impressive features that this device delivers is the Beats Audio.

Conclusion

HTC One SV is the mid-range smartphone which is capable of performing like a high-end device featuring average battery life along with 4G support. The device is also features high build quality and fantastic performance. Although there are many impressive features added to this device, some of the disadvantages makes the device bit odd. Lack of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the main con. Also the 5 MP still camera need much more better performance. Currently the device is being launched globally at a price tag of $450 and will be available at the Indian market for a price around Rs 20000.
